SPRING TRAIL CLEAN-UP 2017

On May 13th an energetic group of volunteers met at Calhoun Lodge on Blackstone Harbour.  The volunteers walked the 6 km Baker Trail, clearing the path of branches and debris and installing trail markers where needed. Another group of volunteers partnered with the Park staff to construct a new boardwalk through the lowland marsh area which was badly needed as a result of the higher water table.

After the busy morning lunch and refreshments were supplied by the Friends!

Hope you join us in the spring when we will be planning our trail clean-up on the Moon Island trail!
