MUSIC IN THE MASSASAUGA

Our third annual summer fundraising concert, known as the Music in the Massasauga, was an overwhelming success.  On Sunday August 6th, the day brought beautiful sunny weather and after two previous years of rain we were finally able to host the concert outdoors. The concert was held on the Woods Bay property of Pam Graham and Derek Johnson.

Folk singer, Katherine Wheatley, entertained over 60 guests with songs and stories about growing up in Parry Sound and on Georgian Bay.

"Acoustic roots with catchy melodies, arresting vocals, great guitar playing, lyrics that get you and that you get - these are all the things that have been written over and over again about Katherine Wheatley's music...and like one of her earliest influences, Gordon Lightfoot, she invokes nature to reflect the emotional intent of her songs."

Thanks to our generous sponsors, guests were able to win from an amazing array of raffle prizes and silent auction items.
